Return & Exchange Policy

✅ If We Sent the Wrong Item

We’ll take full responsibility.

  • We cover the cost of return shipping.

  • Once the item is received back in original, unused, and resalable condition, we will dispatch the correct item at no additional charge.

↩️ If You Ordered the Wrong Item

We get it — it happens.

  • Return shipping costs are for the customer’s account.

  • Items must be unused, in original packaging, and in resalable condition.

  • Products showing signs of use, installation, damage, wear, or contamination will not qualify for return.

  • If a return is rejected, you may arrange collection or cover the cost of re-shipping.

📦 Free Shipping – Terms & Conditions

  • Free shipping applies to main metropolitan and provincial city centres only.

  • Remote or outlying areas are excluded unless serviced by our designated courier.

  • Orders qualifying for free shipping are dispatched within 2–7 business days after payment is confirmed.

  • If a correctly supplied item is returned, return shipping is for the customer and a handling fee may apply.

  • Express delivery and alternative shipping options are detailed on our Shipping Page. This section explains how free shipping interacts with returns.

📝 General Return Conditions

  • Return requests must be submitted within 5 days of receipt.

  • Items must be securely packaged (e.g. bubble wrap) with all accessories and contents included.

  • Poorly packaged returns that arrive damaged will be rejected.

  • Returns based on price comparisons (e.g. “found it cheaper elsewhere”) are not accepted under consumer protection regulations.

  • All returns are subject to inspection and management approval.

⚡ Electrical & Electronic Products

  • All electronic products are tested prior to dispatch.

  • Due to manufacturer and hygiene policies, electrical and electronic items are not returnable once used or installed, unless proven faulty.

🛡️ Warranty Coverage

  • Most new products carry a 6-month limited warranty, unless stated otherwise on the product page.

  • Clearance, refurbished, or second-hand items are sold without warranty, unless explicitly stated.

  • Electronics are not eligible for return once installed or paired, unless a manufacturing fault is confirmed.

  • Warranty does not cover damage caused by:

    • Misuse or incorrect installation

    • Unauthorised repairs or modifications

    • Power surges, water damage, or physical impact

    • Normal wear and tear or external factors beyond our control

🧰 Installation & Usage Requirements (Warranty Validity)

To qualify for warranty support:

  • Products must be installed or set up according to manufacturer guidelines.

  • Smart devices must be used within their intended environment and specifications.

Warranty claims must include:

  • Proof of purchase

  • Description of the fault

  • Supporting images or video where applicable

🔧 Special Product Categories

Smart Displays, Smart Switches, Smart Locks, Smart Home Devices

  • Covered by a 6-month limited warranty if installed or set up correctly.

  • Warranty is void if the product is:

    • Incorrectly installed

    • Modified or tampered with

    • Used outside its intended purpose

Smart Android Devices (e.g. Android Radios, Tablets, Displays)

  • No cash refunds. Store credit may be issued at management’s discretion.

  • Courier fees are non-refundable.

  • Returns must be requested within 5 days of receipt and include all original packaging and accessories.

  • Items returned without a verified fault will be rejected; shipping costs are for the customer.

  • Out-of-warranty repairs are for the customer’s account.

  • Warranty claims are processed within 30 days of receipt.

📜 Risk, Ownership & Final Notes

  • Risk transfers to the customer upon delivery or collection. We recommend insuring high-value items.

  • Goods remain the property of MVA Smart Solutions until paid in full.

  • All returns, refunds, and warranty claims are subject to inspection and final approval by management.
